Kavita Ramdas serves as the representative for the Ford Foundation's office in New Delhi, serving India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. This regional work focuses on equity, inclusion, sexuality and reproductive health, transparent and accountable governance, and sustainable development. Before joining the foundation in 2012, Kavita served as president and CEO of the Global Fund for Women from 1996 to 2010. During her tenure, the fund's assets increased from $3 million to $21 million—giving women in more than 170 countries access to financial capital that fueled innovation and change.
